I obsessively paint blue and white florals to remind us that in the midst of the chaos and struggle that life often presents us, there is still so much goodness and beauty to be found if we choose to see it. I like to say that I'm in my Blue Period and happy about it. My work revolves around themes of slow living, remembering the sweetness of childhood, and finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. Every one of my blue-hued floral paintings is meant to evoke the feeling of connection, calling to mind memories of morning coffee on the patio with your grandma, fresh linen drying on the line, childhood summers spent barefoot and free, a familiar floral wind that smells like home.
